Swami was given Atma Kriya Yoga by his spiritual teacher Mahavatar Babaji when he was a child and he carried the knowledge of Atma Kriya Yoga with him for many years before the time was right to start teaching others. Swami says that the current time is very auspicious for progress in spiritual practise and that Atma Kriya Yoga is one of the fastest ways to experience Unity with the Divine.

The world wide popularity of Atma Kriya Yoga is growing and due to public demand, Swami has delegated the task of teaching Atma Kriya Yoga courses to a small number of his own students. Together, these dedicated teachers form the Atma Kriya Yoga Institute and they are spreading Atma Kriya Yoga throughout the world. Swami hand picked these teachers because of their experience of Yoga, dedication to their practice and their ability to serve others.

To many people Swami Vishwananda represents the quality of love, in fact, unconditional love for all. The pure love that Swami represents is also the essence of Atma Kriya Yoga and this can be directly experienced through it's practise. If you have been inspired by the loving nature of Swami Vishwananda, then you will naturally want to generate similar qualities and this will happen through the techniques of  Atma Kriya Yoga.
