About the techniques of Atma Kriya Yoga

med.jpgAtma Kriya Yoga invites you to take one of the greatest human journeys anyone possibly can – a journey to the Atma. The Atma is the Sanskrit name for your Soul, it is your real nature and it is the true source of peace and happiness for all mankind.

The gift is within us, but how can we access it? To reach the Atma requires a set of keys. Atma Kriya Yoga is a system that provides the keys that allow you to unlock your inner spiritual potential. The techniques allow for a safe and balanced awakening of kundalini energy that allows your consciousness to rise to higher levels of awareness.

The Atma is a constant, uninterrupted source of happiness, peace and love. Atma Kriya Yoga brings about an overall transformation at every level of our existence. This Deep Change reunites our individual human consciousness with Cosmic Consciousness (God or Higher Power). This merging of consciousness is called Self-Realisation. Atma Kriya Yoga is a sure way to evolve your Soul to the state of Self-Realisation – your highest potential and the ultimate goal in life.

Through the practice of Atma Kriya Yoga, you will start to live a more joyful, harmonious and peaceful life. Your personal relationships will blossom and you will feel a sense of deep inner peace as your  Atma Kriya practice deepens. As the spiritual heart awakens, a whole new life is possible, we begin to love ourselves and others unconditionally.

Atma Kriya Yoga Techniques

  • Pranayama - are breathing exercises for concentrating and directing energy in the body. Pranayama exercises are energizing and cleansing on the physical body, they calm the mind and they help attain higher levels of consciousness.
  • Meditation - allows clarity of thought with reduced mental fluctuations. Meditation encourages the mind to become quite which allows us to focus our attention on the energy centres of the body called chakras.
  • Mudras - are actions that create a locking mechanism using our physical body, they can control and manipulate the energies found in the body.
  • Mantra - is the repetition of a series of sounds that help to raise energy. Repeating a mantra elevates our consciousness and helps to calm and concentrate the mind, making meditation much easier.
  • Asanas - are physical exercises that keep the body physically fit and healthy and free from disorders and disease. Asanas permit the transmission of more energy through the body and allow it to become supple and strong.
  • OM-Healing - is an ancient group self-healing technique. It supports the healing process of the body and also benefits the local environment.

Awaken the Love within

med2.jpgIt is a short distance from the head to the heart, in fact it measures 40 c.m. from start to finish, but it is one of the longest journeys that man will ever have to take. People spend many lifetimes trying to reach their spiritual heart and experience pure Love.

If practised with sincerity, Atma Kriya will accelerate your evolution and awaken your spiritual heart in one life time. To experience unconditional Love is to experience your true nature. To rediscover this truth is your eternal quest and the reason for your birth in this world.

The Course and Shaktipath

The course takes place on an average over three days or can sometimes be spread out over a longer period if teachers wish. Whatever your religion, spiritual path or cultural affiliation, anyone aged over 18 is welcome to take the Atma Kriya course. We ask that people with severe mental depression or major physical health problems let a teacher know before attending.

At the end of an Atma Kriya course the student receives Shaktipath from the teacher. This is a  transmission of spiritual energy that activates the techniques and gives the needed 'spark' to energise the practice. This energy is passed from Mahavatar Babaji to the teacher and then on to the student in a effortless initiation which is essential for a safe and steady journey on the path of Kriya yoga.
